Colby Pearson
Apex 2022
In His own words:
I am a really hard worker and try really hard to chase my dreams. I’ve stayed on the straight and narrow track to achieve success in the fishing industry. I believe in pushing that belief and passion and I hope that is what people see when they see me. I am happy to be a part of APEX and see it as a huge opportunity for western anglers in years to come. This will finally be something to showcase our anglers and compete for substantial sums of money in the West. I look forward to competing against guys that I respect and admire.
Hometown:
Rogue River, OR
Highlights:
State and Regional titles in high school fishing, runner-up in Nationals, qualifying for the APEX roster
Behind the angler:
A grandparent’s pond sparked Colby’s interest in fishing. He evolved into tournament competition at the club level when he was 11-years-
old.
In the boat:
Throwing any type of swimbait is in Colby’s wheelhouse. Some of
his favorites are Sly Guy glide baits, and Shasta Bass Baits line-throughs; however, he carries many types and brands. His lockers also hold a variety of Duo Realis hard baits, Gary Yamamoto Senkos and other soft plastics. His go-to gear includes IRODS paired with Shimano reels.
