Behind the Angler

I am a Professional Bass Angler, husband to my wife Shannon, a father to my son Gabe who is also
following my footsteps and dedication in the fishing world, . I am employed by SRP a power and
water company here in AZ. In general, fishing has been a passion for the entirety of my life. Having
been self taught fisherman and always a competitive person growing up, I evolved to love the thrill
of competition that we see in tournament bass fishing. What my father instilled in me at an early
age was to work hard and enjoy the passion of fishing while teaching others what I know. From
the beginning, I have always given back to the youth by volunteering as boat captain and helping the
youngsters learn how to catch fish and be good stewards of the sport. I’ve continued to hone my
fishing skills throughout my life, while working with companies and products that believe in and work
very hard to promote. In 2017 won the title of AZ Anglers “Angler of the Year” for not only my
angling skills, but also by willingness to give back to the sport throuh volunteering and mentoring. AZ
Anglers is a large social media group where close to 15,000 members had the chance to nominate
and vote who they thought was the best steward of the sport and to my humble surprise won it for
2017. A unexpected but very exciting thing to have so much support by my fishing industry peers.
This past season I also earned the title of Angler of the Year for the Arizona Bass Nation.
On a professional level, I have worked for SRP as water distribution specialist for the past 24 years,
another passion that was given to me by my father who worked for the same company for 34
years. I am currently 48 and have always committed 150% to anything I’ve undertaken. I am recently
retired from offroad racing where I raced professionally for some of the biggest company names
in the business with several 1st place championship titles. Now that I am retired from racing my
goals and passion has shifted to my passion for fishing. Within the fishing industry I’ve created my
own “Orange/Blue” brand which were also my offroad colors for many years and thus become my
signature look. My signature branding and color scheme makes head’s turn and has become very
marketable. When people see my boat from across the lake or driving down the road they know who
I am and the sponsors that I have a relationship with, as they are all displayed on my boat wrap. These
ventures in racing and now in fishing have proven that I know what it takes to promote your
products and services professionally.
I have worked very hard to build the necessary skills and relationships with companies
whose products and services that I use and believe in.

In the Boat

Naturally a shallow water power fisherman. Love to flip, skip, punch, crank those shallow water fish. Nitro bass boats is my platform that gives me the space to move around and comfort to fish from. Powered by Mercury 4 stroke 250 gets me out and back fast and safely. 100 % die hard Minnkota and Humminbird advocate and user. No backing and paid full price is how much I love and depend on my electronics.
