Stan Lafever
Apex 2022
In His own words:
I am a big family guy and enjoy sharing the sport of fishing with my family – my wife, my son, my grandson. I feel lucky to have that kind of family support and to have my wife travel with me when I fish. I am happy to have friends that I still fish with today that I started fishing with 35 years ago. My goal is for people to know that I fish with class and integrity, and I want to bring that to APEX.
Hometown:
Valley Springs, Calif.
Highlights:
Tournament of Champions qualifier in every circuit fished since 1989, back-to-back Delta Team Anglers of the Year (1999, 2000), weighed five fish over 10 pounds in tournaments
Behind the angler:
Stanley began fishing with a neighbor and caught his first bass when he was 19-years-old. Within a couple of years, another friend took Stanley under his wing and showed him the ropes of tournament fishing. He kicked off tournament competition for the first time on Lake Camanche with WON Bass teams in the late ‘80s and has been a tournament angler since that time.
In the boat:
Every day of the year, on any body of water, Stanley will have a Texas-rigged Zoom Trick Worm tied on. Jigs are another staple, depending on when and where he is fishing.
